Incheon Port Authority (IPA) signed a three-way agreement on the 11th with two companies selected for the startup support program ‘Incheon Port Do-Dream’ and the startup incubation center at Incheon National University.
'Incheon Port Do-Dream' is a support program for port-specialized venture and startup companies within their first seven years, organized by IPA and operated by the Startup Support Division of Incheon National University. Since 2016, the program has supported a total of 22 startups in the marine, port, logistics, safety, and environmental sectors.
According to IPA, a total of 12 companies applied for the call for proposals, which closed in April, and after a document review and presentation evaluation, two companies were finally selected.
The two selected companies are:
- VMS Holdings, which is developing mobile ID cards for the marine industry using blockchain technology, and
- Big Mobility, which operates an online and offline parking service for cargo trucks called ‘Truck Helper.’
IPA plans to provide the two selected companies with marketing support for entering the global market, up to 20 million KRW in business expenses per company, and support programs related to shared growth, such as performance-sharing systems and technology escrow fees.
Shin Jae-wan, Head of ESG Management at IPA, said, “We are pleased to discover and support excellent startup companies through this program. We will work together with the Startup Support Division of Incheon National University to provide systematic incubation services for the selected companies and to drive innovation at Incheon Port through startups.”
