'Incheon Port Do-Dream' is a port-specific venture and startup support program for startups within the first seven years of business, hosted by IPA and operated by Incheon National University's Startup Support Center. From 2016 to last year, it has supported a total of 22 startups in the maritime, port, logistics, safety, and environment sectors.
According to the IPA, 12 companies applied for the competition, which ended in April, and the final two companies were selected through document and presentation evaluation.
The two selected companies are VMS Holdings, which develops mobile ID cards for the maritime industry using blockchain technology, and Big Mobility, which operates 'Truck Helper,' an online and offline service for cargo vehicle parking.
The IPA plans to support the two finalists with ▲ marketing to enter the global market ▲ business expenses of up to 20 million won per company ▲ and shared growth support programs such as performance sharing and technology leasing fees.
"We are pleased to be able to discover and support excellent startups through this support project," said Shin Jae-wan, head of IPA's ESG Management Office. "We will work with Incheon National University's Startup Support Group to provide systematic startup incubation services to the selected companies and drive innovation at Incheon Port through startups."
