Busan Hosts 2025 Startup Support Program Launch – 153 Promising Startups Gather

Unification of the startup support system with the launch of the incubator this year, selecting 33 companies as'Busan Representative Startup Companies' and a total of 120 companies as'Busan Startup Package Business (Preliminary, Early Stage, Leap)'

[Korea Economic Daily] Busan City (Mayor Park Hyung-jun) announced on the 24th that the '2025 Busan Startup Support Project Launching Ceremony 'B(B)-Startup day'' was held at the Busan Asti Hotel on the 22nd, hosted by the Busan Technology Startup Investment Resource (Director Seo Jong-gun, hereinafter referred to as Changtuwon).

Mayor Park Hyung-joon, CEO Seo Jong-gun, and 153 companies selected for this year's project attended the launch ceremony, which included the presentation of the 'Busan Representative Startup Company' certificate and the orientation of the 'Busan Startup Package Project'.

This year, with the establishment of the incubator, the business promotion system was reorganized by unifying the startup support system that was distributed by institutions and strengthening linkages by business, and a total of 153 startup companies were selected.

The 'Busan Representative Startup Company' program is a project to discover and foster promising startup companies with innovative technologies, and this year, 20 'Bright Club' companies, 10 'Million Club' companies, and 3 'Ace Stellar' companies were selected, totaling 33 companies.

The 'Busan Startup Package' project is a support program for each stage of growth of startup companies, and this year, 50 people in the preliminary startup package, 50 companies in the early startup package, and 20 companies in the startup leap package were selected.

Last year, through the startup support project, Ready Rover Machine, a company selected by AceStar, received KRW 7.5 billion in Series A investment for developing a fuel-saving system for heavy equipment, and LiveX, a company selected for the Startup Leap Package, achieved KRW 15 billion in sales and KRW 5.7 billion in Series A investment for its shared beauty salon platform.

At the launching ceremony, Mike Kim, General Manager of Google for startups in Asia-Pacific, delivered a special lecture on 'Global Startup Trends and Success Strategies' and exchanges (networking), followed by a business-specific orientation on the year's business promotion contents.

Mayor Park Hyung-joon said, "It is meaningful to be able to gather 153 companies that will grow through startup support projects this year."
